Winter has hit!

Sorry guys!  I've been very slack here lately!  It's been so crazy busy the last little while, I didn't know if I was coming or going!  Things will start to slow down a bit now that winter has hit!  I don't know about where you all live, but Edmonton got hit hard the other day!  The snow just came and came and didn't want to stop!  It brought the freezing cold with it ... BRRR!!  I'm waiting for tomorrow when it will warm up just a bit ... LOL ... so I'm almost finished most of the renovations that I can get done ... spring will be a very busy season I think!

November 3rd and 4th I took part in a craft fair!

 Card and Advent Calendar classes set up on the edge of the table!

This is how we set up for the first day!  Had some Christmas cards, bows, tags and card kits for sale.  On top of that, we had snowman poops (stocking stuffer gag gift) and hot chocolate treats (hot chocolate with marshmallows and chocolate chips).  It wasn't the busiest craft fair, but it was still a good learning experience.

 Now we are getting serious!  Day 2 and we rearranged the table to make it look more appealing!

So yeah, I was doing a lot of prepping for this the month of October.  I had a craft table permanently set up in the living room!  And around this, I was still trying to do renovations ... LOL ... boy did I put a lot on my plate!

I'm looking forward to having a bit of down time, but at the same time I'm going to be prepping for all the classes to come for spring!  I'm going to work much harder at keeping the blog up to date!  I'll have sign ups for card making and layouts!  I'll have the specials for the month from Close To My Heart as well as the Stamp Of The Month displayed!  I will get organized again and get back to crafting!  I almost have my craft room ready!

Where has the time gone?

Sorry guys ... I can't believe that it's been over a month!  It's been an extremely busy month though ...

For the last couple months you know that I've been doing renovations around my place ... we were trying to beat winter!  We didn't ... LOL ... but we came close!  We've got a few more things to finish, but we will get them done shortly.  This will allow me to then relax a bit and get caught up on everything else ... BLOGGING!!

I'll be spending as much time creating Christmas cards and goods for the craft fair on November 3rd and 4th over the next couple weeks.  I'll be sitting in front of the TV with my little laptop desk and create an assembly line ... LOL ... and I'll post pictures as I go!  I'm going to get my blog back up and running regularly so that I can show my artwork!

Busy Busy

Sorry I haven't been posting ... but I've been trying to get some renovations done before the cold weather hits!  I've got half a wall right now behind me ... LOL ... there is no window in the hole and there is only panel for the actual wall because there was so much rotten plywood it was bad!  I guess the good thing is that slowly all these reno's are getting done, but when you have only one income coming in, it can be a little taxing on the money side of things ...

So one thing that has happened is that I've started selling Gold Canyon candles!  If you or anyone you know wants to purchase some candles, let me know!  I'll be happy help you out!  Gold Canyon has some really fantastic scents!

Ok, I've got to sign off!  Need to get some rest before the rest of the renovations happen tomorrow ... LOL ... hope you all are enjoying your long weekend!

Card Making September 10th!!

Hey guys!  So I've got a couple cards made to show you what we will be making on September 10th.  We will be meeting at 7 - 9 PM, having a great time socializing and making some cards!  Remember, everything is there for you to put together some great cards!

You get to choose 3 cards for $5 or 6 cards for $10. You need to RSVP no later than September 3rd because I need to prep the cards for you as well as book room for us! That's right you heard that right! We will be meeting at a restaurant for socializing and card making!

I'll let you know where just as soon as I get the numbers back on who will be coming. I want to make sure that it is in the middle for everyone. And if you need a ride, let me know and I can pick you up on my way!

Lazy Days!

Sorry guys!  I completely gave up with the Artiste collection.  It is so annoying to have to pull everything out each and every day that I want to create ... Most of my stuff is already out here in the living room and dining area, but it is just so difficult having to keep pulling everything out.

I will be pulling it all out shortly though ... I've got to get busy and get 3 card designs for my upcoming card making session on Monday September 10th from 7 PM to 9 PM.  I'd love to have you come and join us!  Just give me a shout to find out all the details!

Scroll Workshop from Convention!

This one is one of my absolute favorites!  I can't believe how it turned out!  I couldn't finish it at Convention because the photo's I brought with me didn't fit at all with the theme.  So I put it all away and brought it home with me!  Now I'm super glad that I didn't just put those photo's in!

Mini Album from Convention!

So if you've learned anything about me, you've learned that I'm horrible at getting things finished ... LOL ... well it was no different at Convention!  Slowly I've been getting them finished and now I've got a couple photo's to post of them!

I just love this little mini album!  I'm going to make a workshop out of it because I think my friends and family would love them as much as I do!

Artiste Catch Up!

Ok, I got a couple more complete the other night!  I finally got pictures taken!

I really love this little box and can see me using it a lot!  I decided to dress it up with daisies!

I just love this little card box!  I made three of them because two I'm giving to the two ladies that are coming to my card making session on Saturday!

I'd hoped to have one more project posted tonight but it isn't complete just yet.  I've got to figure out how to make my Ferris Wheel turn so that the little cars fall appropriately!!  I'll get it!  I'm getting closer each night ... LOL ... but yeah, I'm still creating with the Artiste, just not every day like I had hoped!

Day 4 - Artiste - Sorry!

Ok so today should be Day 4 but in all honesty, I haven't been able to play!  Today we took down all the siding on the back of my trailer because there was no plywood between the siding and wall inside.  We haven't lived in our master bedroom for almost 3 years now because my corner closet got mold and we tore it out.  Because everything was left not done, we've been living in the spare room

We found shingles under part of the siding ... LOL ... Let me tell you, definitely an interesting experience we are having whenever we try to renovate something in this trailer!

So yeah, I've been a bit busy the last couple days!  But I do plan to get some things still created!  This month will not be a bust!!

Card 3

Finally!  Here is the 3rd card design for the August 11th Card Session!  I wanted to make it colourful and fun!

Artiste Day 1

Ok, I made the middle purse on page 4 of the Assembly Book ... but do you know how big that is when you only have the small sized Cricut machine ... LOL ... wow is that tiny!  I just have to take pictures of it and post it!  I'll even put it beside a regular sized card to show the size difference!  It is absolutely tiny!  But I did make something today!  Good thing I have a great friend and fellow Consultant loaning me her Expression tomorrow!  My goal is to get that Ferris wheel and carousel made!

As soon as I have the picture I'll upload it here to show you how small the purse is!

Ok, as promised, here is the picture of the tiny purse!  Because it was so small, I didn't do anything with it!  So this is just plain jane!

 As you can see ... just plain!  But this thing is smaller than a car stereo remote control!  Have you seen how small one of those things are?!

 The card is a standard sized card!  I really wasn't kidding when I said it was small!

 I may go back and decorate it just a bit!  But I think it will be lost even more!

 You really can't hold much in this purse!  Maybe one lipstick ... LOL ... but all in all, I'm ok with it being my first attempt with creating something from the cartridge!  This just showed me that you really want the Expression or Expression 2 for most 3D objects!  Stay tuned for Day 2!

Some Fun!

Ok, so today wasn't a great day ... LOL ... it started off really well at work and then the day just seemed to snowball getting busier and busier!  I felt exhausted and just wanted to sleep ... LOL ... but that didn't happen!  I had physio tonight and it consisted of me getting needled ... 8 along my spine!!  Crazy I tell you!  So we will definitely have to see sore I'm tomorrow!

Well that didn't stop me ... I pulled over my table full of craft supplies and got to work!  I've been looking at Sheryl Driver's card with the small stripes and I adapted it to me!  I pulled out the Artiste cartridge and put it to a test drive tonight ... LOL

I'll post a picture of the card tomorrow!  I don't have the best lighting for taking pictures at night ... LOL

Artiste in August!

Ok, so I've been reading about how everyone is doing month long card making or month long creating something from the Art Philosophy cartridge or Artiste cartridge, so I'm going to jump on board and do this too!  I can't wait cause I decided that I'm going to create something from the Artiste cartridge and showcase it each day!

I hope you will follow along and learn just how versatile this cartridge really is!  You'll fall in love with it too!  I can't wait to get started!  Thank goodness I only have a few days until the beginning of August!
