Christmas Card Bazaar 2014

So the time came to create a bunch of Christmas cards!  Sunday November 9th, I set up shop and the ladies had fun creating their cards.  I gave them 13 designs to choose from and they moved from table to table creating as many as they wanted!  Of course I forgot to bring my camera to show them having fun!!

These are the cards that the ladies choose from!  If you would like to order a kit, by all means, email me with the amount and the card design and I'll give you a cost with shipping!

August's Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop! August Edition. If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my hearts Consultants from all over Canada. It is founded by Nancy Klein.

This months challenge is a color challenge brought to you by Design seed and hand picked from Nancy Klein.

A fun few facts about August: It is National Picnic Month. Also this month's birth flowers are the beautiful gladiolus and the poppy!

If you came from Freya Hall Dunbar then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog so you can start anywhere! Just in case the full list will be at the bottom. SO as always grab your coffee, tea, water, relax and hop around the team with us.

Here is the details of our late summer projects!

Yeah, I'm so happy!  I got to play with the Hearts of the West Blog Hop this month!  I love all the colors that were could choose from and I wanted to incorporate more in, but I had to work with what I had!

I absolutely fell in love with this design by a fellow consultant and have been meaning re-create it, so I got the opportunity with this months color choices!

This card features an older Stamp of the Month because I had a scare with almost losing them!  But I also choose it because I LOVE sunflowers and I wanted to play with the new ShinHan markers that are available through CTMH now!  I thought the yellow was close to the Buttercup color and figured it would blend nicely with the blue.  I used YR24 Marigold and Y222 Golden Yellow for the flowers.  I used GY234 for the leaves and BR99 Bronze for the centers of the flowers.  I used White Daisy and Outdoor Denim cardstock.  I stamped the images in our exclusive Black ink and the wording in Outdoor Denim ink.  I sponged the edge of the one piece with Outdoor Demin.

Your next stop is Linda Pekrul. Thanks for joining us this month and come back to see the start of the new Annual Inspirations! Exciting!!

Here is a list of everyone's blog that took part this month!

More Christmas Cards

So I forgot to add the rest of my cards for my card workshop on November 16th!  I know right!  So here are a few more that I've got finished.

In total I have 9 card designs for the 16th.  Only 8 have been posted as the 9th still needs to be completed.  I have it ready to go, I just need to get some spray adhesive to put it together!

November Card Workshop

Oh wow!  I'm sorry for not being more up to date with my posts.  That is definitely going to be something that I work on in the future!  I'm getting more time to create lately, so keeping up with my blog should come hand in hand soon enough!

Mark your calendars though!  Saturday November 16th at 1 PM I'm having my Christmas card session.  You will get to create as many cards as you want out of the designs that I have on display!  I've been having fun creating them!  I hope to see you there!

Here are a few of the samples that I have ready for you to choose from! I really like this one with the mittens.  I seen Darla Haverstock's card and fell in love!  So I made a few changes and this is what I came up with from her example!

Next I seen a fabulous card by Lisa Edwards Kmiec's card.  I loved the absolute simplicity of this card but at the same time it was portraying such elegance!  Here is my take on her card!

I found a wonderful card by Joanne Long Barnes.  I loved that it was just presents under a bow!  Again it is simple yet elegant, and here is my take on it!

And who could not love this next card that I found by Chris Zook?  I never would have thought to use a pop can tab!

And finally, here is one that I modeled after a card I made a few years back!  I absolutely love trees and scenery, so when CTMH came out with their stamp set 'Always Grateful', I couldn't wait to use it for a Christmas card!

There will be some more cards as well!  I haven't finished creating just yet!  But I wanted to get these ones up to show what I've been working on!  I hope you like them and I hope to see you on the day of the event!  If you are an out of towner but would still like to create these cards, I can pre-stamp them for you and send them to you as a kit!  Just let me know!!

Gettin' Creative

Wow!  I'm sorry that it has been so long since my last post!  I promise that I will get a schedule going for posting!  This summer has been a very weird summer!  It's gone so very fast and I spent most of it in a funk!

Tomorrow is a friend of mine's birthday so I sat myself done and created a card for her!  It felt good to just sit down and have some fun!!

I love this stamp!  It is one of my favorites!  I'm happy that I got to use it on this birthday card!  Sorry that the petal of the one flower is up and covering!  That is not how I made it :)

Well thanks for coming to take a peek!  I'm going to really start getting back in to creating for me!  I've got a Christmas card workshop coming up and I need to get my butt in gear and get those prepped and ready!  So stay tuned for some more projects soon!

Fathers Day

I really got started late on creating a card for my dad!  But never-the-less, I got one complete and will mail it off to him tomorrow!

My dad loves his motorcycle, so I thought this stamp set would be perfect!  My dad is a very simple guy, so I wanted the style of the card to fit him and this is what I liked!

I wanted to just showcase the bike on the card and make the inside sentimental!  So happy early Father's Day dad!  I hope you enjoy your day and you get a chance to take your bike out!!

Making this card really made me realize that it has been ages since I've done anything creative!  I've been working, sleeping and renovations ... LOL ... so I really need to find some time to just have some fun!  I'm tossing around a couple ideas for some layouts, so I'm going to work on putting together a layout workshop!  Hope you will stick around to check them out!

Way too long!

Ok, so I've been slacking big time!

I meant to get some pictures posted of items that I created for my Valentine's Extravaganza ... I had fun creating some really neat things!
Here is a little box that I filled with conversation hearts, cinnamon hearts and kisses!!
Ooops, the kisses have been eaten already ... LOL

I had fun making the mailboxes from the Artiste cartridge!
These I stuffed with kisses and other chocolates and gummy hearts!

I made the treat tubes from Whooo's Your Valentine ...
And then I made some cards!  I had fun making them because I don't normally go for Valentine's cards!

So these are some of them!  Now I'm working on my Easter crafts!  I'll be better at getting those up :)

Mojo Monday 278

So I jumped back into it this week and brought out my thinking cap!  I needed to create a card for a friend at work that is going on to a new job, so I looked at the Mojo Monday sketch and I thought for a couple days!

Here is the sketch that we had to work with!  I debated on a square card or a circle card.  I really wanted to make a circle one, but the square won out because I need to have a few people sign the card!

As you will see, the trend for my cards are clean and simple.  I'm not sure why I like that style so much, but most cards I make, end up CAS!  Well, hope you like it!

Mojo Monday Sketch 277

Yeah, having Monday off gave me a bit of time to have some creativity time!  I'm not exactly where the time came from ... considering that I had two appointments, doctor and eyes, I had an appointment for my vehicle, I had an appointment for the cable guy, plus I needed to do some other errands ... LOL ... but after all that I found time to do the Mojo Monday challenge for this week!  And it was a good thing that I did at that point because I then spent 4 hours in the ER ... LOL

So yeah, I started out looking at the sketch and I had this great idea for a Valentine's card, but then I saw my green paper and the WHOLE design changed ... LOL

This is the sketch that was given and here is what I did with it!

I love the CAS cards and you will find that I tend to lean towards them more often than not, but this design was fun to create with!

Mojo Monday Sketch Callenge - 275

So I've never entered anything like this before, but I'm going to give it a shot!

My friend at work, her daughter just had a baby boy!  It is her first grandchild!  So I decided to create a card to help celebrate the magical moment!

Products used are just some things that I had lying around the house!  I'm trying to use up my old stash of papers!  The flower is from CTMH and is the retired Just Blooms!

Here is the sketch that I used to create the card from!

Well, thanks for taking a look!  I'm looking forward to creating lots more during 2013!

Convention Cards

Ok, so I was getting scared that my cards were too plain for swapping at Convention ... LOL ... so I decided to try my hand at some fancier cards.  I've come up with these!

Now they are still a simple card but they look fancy to me!  I hope everyone likes these ones!  I've got to come up with at least 20 more cards ... 2 more designs ... LOL ... so keep watch!

I'm getting super excited!  I will be on the plane for Dallas in 11 days!

I can't believe I haven't posted this one yet!

These cards I made for my sister and my mom for their birthdays back in March!  The flower stamps are part of my absolute favorite stamp set!

Creativity!

Yeah!

So I took it upon myself to drag my dining room table over in front of the TV, pulled out my supplies and started creating!  After all was said and done ... 20 cards were made!  I'm prepping cards for Convention!  This is my first convention, so I'm not sure what to expect, and I'm always afraid of what people will think of my artwork, but I designed two simple cards to get my juices flowing ... LOL

I started off with just a 3x3 colonial white card base.  I was thinking that I wanted to keep it in the theme of convention and make it all light and summery!  I want to enjoy every moment I get at convention, so this sentiment was perfect for me!

Then I decided to make a card that was a bit bigger.  So I started with a 4x4 colonial white card base.

I kept the same style of card for this one because I love the simple clean look on cards.  I love this stamp set as well!  Again I thought to keep it with a theme and the sentiment works for me as well.  Life is definitely a journey and I'm ready to turn this journey of my life into a positive journey!

So yeah, here is the start of some of my cards for convention!  I really hope that everyone will like them!

Adorable Bunny Card

So I saw this idea of a bunny coming through a hole in a card ... I so wish I could remember where and who so that I can give proper credit!  But this is what I did with that idea!

I changed the card from a basic card base to an egg shaped card base!  The feet help it stand up fine on it's own!  I gave him a cotton ball tail ... LOL ... and some button eyes!

Here is the back side of the front card flap!  See he is trying to jump out of the hole ... LOL ... this idea was too cute to pass up, especially for Easter!  And learning the different shapes on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge ... I'm having a blast!

Thanks for looking!
