Hopscotch - Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the team Heart's of the West blog hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close To My Heart Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The Hearts of the West team was founded by Nancy Klein!

This months challenge is the Hopscotch paper pack, brought to you by the new Seasonal Expresseions 1, hand picked from Nancy Klein.

If you came from Heather Myer's blog then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

Ok, this paper pack is my favorite in the Seasonal Expressions 1 book.  All these colors to remind us of spring and to let us know that YES it is coming!  I was in the right frame of mind to create with this paper as well because I just finished my monthly workshop using this paper.

My ladies and I got together to create the Hopscotch WOTG or to create some really fun Hopscotch cards!  There was enough paper left over from creating the WOTG that I flipped through the Make It from Your Heart Volume 2 book and came up with this fantastic layout.

A little touch of flaxen extra thick twine to give a picture just a little bit of fun!  I wrapped it around the sunset orange and colonial white cardstock twice to give it a bit of dimension.  Tied a bow and voila!  Just a little something truly does give a big pop!  I like the extra thickness of these twines.  Using them is so easy and really does go a long way!  The thick twine also comes in the Pixie color and I debated using it to give it a bit more of a pop, but the Flaxen fit in better with the color combinations I was using on this layout.  Be sure to check out the Hopstoch Workshop on the Go to see the Pixie being used!

Here is where I used the My Crush Assortment.  A small little envelope to hide some journalling or a little picture or something.  If you wanted to put a couple little smiles in the envelop you could as well.  The possibilities are endless and you can put little keepsakes from the day, a little pebble, anything!  I have yet to decide which photo's to put on here, so my possibilities are endless for sure.  I could add a piece of ribbon, a locket of hair ... I can't wait to choose the photos!

I love me some flowers and couple it with a Picture My Life For Always card, you can now make your journalling pop.  Who could resist this fun paper pack!  Come on spring!  I really like the Hopscotch Assortment as well!  These little buttons really add to the flair of the layouts.

It was really fun putting together all the different aspects.  And I love that you can mix and match different items with all of the products.  Don't forget about using the zip strips on the tops of the B&T Duo's papers!
